Lutherstübchen
PEACEFUL HOURS DEDICATED TO A GREAT REFORMER
In addition to Goethe, Luther is also honored with a room, as he was also a very significant guest at Auerbach's Keller. The founder of Auerbach's Keller, Heinrich Stromer von Auerbach, was one of the enlightened and progressive individuals of Leipzig in the 16th century.
The reformer Martin Luther from Wittenberg, whom both admired and fought, was a friend of Stromer. To protect himself from his enemies in Leipzig, Luther would stay in secure places during his visits, such as the Auerbach house. Even today, the small historical tavern conveys a feeling of security and coziness. To rest from a tiring day or a long journey, the "Lutherstübchen" offers the ideal atmosphere.
THE LUTHERSTÜBCHEN CAN ONLY BE BOOKED AS PART OF A MENU!
The Lutherstübchen is available for up to 30 guests after prior reservation and booking one of our diverse wine tavern menus.
