Musical Goethe Program

The musico-literary Goethe program "What I would be, I would gladly grant to you ...!" with songs, texts, and anecdotes about Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and his contemporaries

WHAT I WOULD BE, I WOULD GLADLY GRANT TO YOU ...!

During the program, you will hear the romantic feelings of J. W. von Goethe in compositions by his contemporaries, such as Felix M. Bartholdy, Franz Schubert, Richard Wagner, Friedrich von Dalberg, Carl Friedrich Zelter, Adolph von Vagedes, and Ludwig van Beethoven. Experience the musicians with a mix of well-known and unknown songs, texts, and interludes from the music literature of the romantic era. The duo's main focus is to make unknown and almost forgotten texts and melodies from the past come alive and audible again. They conduct research in various archives and libraries to find what has been laid aside and seemed destined to be lost.

Liane Fietzke is praised by audiences and the specialized press as a very expressive soprano. She not only has a wonderful, pure, and clear soprano voice with a warm timbre, but she also guides the program with her own captivating lightness, freshness, competence, and joyfulness. Norbert Fietzke is a graduate of the MHS Leipzig and is renowned as an excellent accompanist.
